KISS has sold 63 million albums worldwide and scored 22 gold records to date and certified sales of 19 million albums in the United States. Easy to paint her face and trademark (registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office) has identified stage costumes, KISS quicklyrose to prominence on the basis of their elaborate live performances, the Breath of the Dragon, blood spitting, smoking guitars and pyrotechnics presented. The original lineup of Gene Simmons (bass and vocals), Paul Stanley (rhythm guitar and vocals), Paul "Ace" Frehley (guitar, vocals) and Peter Criss (drums and vocals) became the most successful and recognizable in the history of the band and published a series of gold and platinum in 1970. For drug problems andcreative differences, both Criss and Frehley were out of the group in 1982. The band had decreased significantly and the business through this point. In 1983, KISS abandoned their makeup and enjoyed a commercial boom across the middle to late 1980. They started to fall out of favor again by early 1990, however.
